Growing up near the nation’s capital, Nathan Pacheco developed a love for music as a child. His mother, a piano teacher, started Nathan early on with piano and violin lessons. Though basketball was his focus for a while, by high school he was a serious student of voice. Having mastered the technique of singing long ago, Nathan Pacheco could now go toe-to-toe with the finest operatic tenors. For Nathan, technique is just simply a technicality – a tool for conveying emotion.

“Classical was familiar because of the home I was raised in,” Nathan recalls. “But then, as now, I listened to a wide variety of music that reaches me, whether Beethoven or Dave Matthews Band.”

Nathan’s PBS Special, “Introducing Nathan Pacheco”, began airing throughout the USA in August 2012. Nathan’s self-titled debut album, released in September 2012, is a terrific blend of classical opera and warm, passionate pop music. His first headlining tour begins this month with concerts in Chicago, Hartford, Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Washington D.C.

When asked what interested him about teaming up with Upperatus and Heal the Bay, Nathan explained, “I’ve been fortunate to have lived for some time in the Southern California region and have great memories that are connected with the area. Heal the Bay does an incredible job for our coastline and our communities and pulls people together for a common goal. I was honored when Upperatus reached out to me to join their cause in bringing awareness to what Heal the Bay does all year long. I’m excited to be teaming up with a young company who’s focus is helping these types of organizations as well as joining together with Heal the Bay in their ongoing efforts.”
